Son’s tragic update after mum allegedly murdered by husband

The son of a woman allegedly killed by her husband has opened up about how he will have to support his family.
Steven Galcsik, 47, allegedly ran over and killed his wife Natalie, 46, at their Pokolbin home in NSW’s Hunter Valley region on Friday.
The couple ran a luxury B&B accommodation on the same site where the alleged incident took place.
Emergency services were called but the mother died at the scene.
Mr Galcsik is remanded in custody and charged with domestic violence murder.
Detectives are reportedly investigating how many times he allegedly struck his wife with his car and whether any relatives witnessed the incident.
It is understood that the pair’s oldest son, Alex, made the triple 0 call. The 20-year-old revealed in an emotional GoFundMe post on Monday that he has been “left alone: to support his family.
“My mother dedicated her life to raising myself and (her family) with selflessness and love despite difficult circumstances,” he wrote.
“She was the best mum we could of asked for. Any contribution great or small would be much appreciated to lessen the financial burden of this tough situation.”
Heartfelt tributes have flowed for the beloved mum, whose death is the second tragedy to recently hit the family after her 7-year-old son drowned at a dam near the property in August 2023.
“Anyone who knew Natalie would know how kind and selfless she was,” one of her friends wrote online.
“My heart breaks.”
The family-owned Unlax @ Hunter Valley is a boutique four-star B&B featuring self-contained cottages for hire in the heart of the state’s wine country.
Rooms start at $398 per night and guests are promised “360 degrees views of natural bushland and native wildlife”.
The family bought the 40-hectare property for $1.45 million in 2017.
Police are investigating whether the Galcsiks – who had no police record of domestic violence – were grappling with any marital issues in the lead-up to her death.
Natalie was a horse enthusiast who was a respected member of the region’s equestrian community, according to online posts.

The property has been declared a crime scene, and it is understood that accommodation services will be suspended until further notice.
Mr Galcsik is due to face Newcastle Local Court again on November 27.
