Young Aussie entrepreneur with huge online following receives formal proposal from girl wanting to date him

Written by on September 25, 2024

A young Australian entrepreneur with a large online following has received a formal business-style proposal from a woman who wants to go on a date with him.

Kyle Hunt was bemused to receive the pitch document from an admirer, which outlined the reasons he should be her plus one to an upcoming event she’s attending.

The 25-year-old, who is the chief executive of three firms that employ more than 80 staff, boasts some 155,000 followers on TikTok and another 37,500 on Instagram.

Mr Hunt, who grew up in foster care and has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the world of business, is used to reviewing partnership proposals from eager corporate suitors.

But on Monday, a very different kind of pitch lobbed in his inbox.

A young woman named Ebony put together a brief but compelling six-page PowerPoint presentation inviting him to accompany her to a local baseball team’s presentation night.

“I love how much you love PowerPoints,” she wrote.

In the document, Ebony provided a business-savvy overview of the “value proposition” of spending an evening together at the shindig.

Aside from being a “hot date” and providing intriguing fodder for his online fans, other features of the meeting included a spit roast dinner, games and raffles, and the immersion into “a new sporting culture”.

Ebony also noted her strong skills in making dates fun.

Like all good proposals, she anticipated some of the potential stumbling blocks her plan might encounter – in this case, Mr Hunt’s “time constraints”.

But countering that challenge, the proposal emphasised the benefits of “a good feed” and some much-needed “time out from work”.

As well as an enjoyable night out, the date would give him an opportunity to be spontaneous, Ebony added.

“I didn’t open it initially because I didn’t know what it was,” Mr Hunt told news.com.au.

“After a few days, she wrote to me again and asked me to note page five and the overview of risks for managing resources and contingencies. I thought it was something to do with my work, then I opened it and couldn’t believe it.”

The detailed document was unlike anything he’d seen before, in a personal capacity at least, and he was impressed.

“I was definitely intrigued.

Sadly, by the time he looked at the proposal, the big night had been and gone.

“It was on the weekend and sadly I didn’t open it until yesterday. But I think there’s potential for a make-up date. We’ll see.”

Mr Hunt shared screenshots of the proposal on social media, with Ebony’s permission, and was floored by the response.

“I’ve had about 8000 responses. It’s literally the most I’ve ever gotten to an Instagram story. People loved it. It’s great.”

His staff have been joking about the overwhelming attention he’s receiving all morning, he said.

For his part, there’s no denying Mr Hunt’s status as an eligible bachelor, with his posts regularly inundated with questions about his relationship status and interest in romantic advances.

He regularly shares his inspirational story of overcoming a difficult childhood against the odds to found several successful companies.
